I made homemade Furikake and Furikake Chex Mix for the first time not long ago and liked both so much that I introduced a good friend of mine to them and she can't get enough of either and her friends in her church group loved the snack mix also. I make homemade Furikake to cut down on the salt content and leave out the MSG, Preservatives, and dried seafood that's often found in the varieties on the shelves at the store and add my own blend of seasonings to the toasted nori and sesame seeds and it all tastes so good. Another thing that helps the Furikake stick to the snack mix ingredients better is by grinding it down a little more in a food processor or coffee grinder before adding it to the snack mix. I like to put cereal, pretzels, arare, cheese crackers, dried tropical fruits, and nuts (macadamia nuts at least) in my mix. Like dried seafood and MSG in Furikake and Arare, I've never liked Green Peas in any shape or form so naturally they're nowhere to be found in my snack mix.

That delicious. I’ve never made chili oil. I’ve tried it before I accidentally added it to a spicy dish thinking the red was just oil, but it was actually spices and I accidentally made inedible by mistake. I just bought my chili oil online on Amazon. I bought a Chinese brand that I’ve heard of. That’s really good.

Have you ever experienced your ground pork filling smelling and tasting subtly rancid the next day? I grind my own pork from shoulder and add all ingredients the night before. Meat smells fine and I even microwave a little bit and it tastes fine too. The next day it smells and tastes funky and is inedible to me. What’s going on here? I usually add the following to my filling : soy sauce, sherry, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, scallions, cabbage, sugar, white pepper, corn starch, baking soda. Thanks in advance!
